RESIDENTS in Thurrock have expressed their concern following a latest bout of flytipping in their neighbourhood.

A large amount of rubbish, including plastic children's play equipment was flytipped from a truck, between Arkright Road and Stephenson Avenue in Tilbury.

A description of the truck was given to the police and council by residents but they say they have had no response.

A concerned resident told Thurrock Nub News: "This was reported to the council but we have had no feed back. Many years ago high gates were fitted to the alleyway but they have not been here not been closed in years. Temporary cameras were also used at one point as there was persistent tipping but was never made permanent.

"There are many nervous people and disabled people who are concerned this will escalate. There are particular fears that someone might set light to it."

Thurrock Council has been invited to comment.
