Firefighters appeal for kids clothes after attending blaze that left family homeless

FIREFIGHTERS at Orsett have launched an appeal for clothes for a family made homeless and they are seeking donations this evening (Tuesday, 28 January).

Terry Myers reached out to the local community through local media saying: "We attended a fire on Sunday which has made a family of ten homeless.

"They got out with the clothes they were wearing and nothing else.

"If anybody can donate any clothing in the following sizes or toiletries you can bring them to Orsett fire station tonight 28/01/2020 between 6 and 10pm.

"Girls aged 6, 7 and 8 and Boys aged 2 and 5.

"We will then be taking these to the family tomorrow morning. Please ensure clothes are clean and undamaged."
