Firefighters douse bike fire at Blackshots

FIREFIGHTERS from Grays responded to a fire on Blackshots playing field in the town this evening (Wednesday, 14 May) at around 9pm after a motorbike was set alight.
Local residents, who raised the alarm after spotting the fire which created a large plume of smoke, said about ten minutes before the blaze the bike had been seen and heard racing around woods on the opposite side of Stanford Road in Hangman's Wood.
