FIREFIGHTERS helped to rescue a man who became unwell while working at height at Tilbury Docks this morning (Monday, 9 May).

On arrival, crews worked with partners in the Port of Tilbury Police, the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the site management staff to move containers around in order to access the man.

Using an aerial ladder platform, crews were able to assess the man alongside the ambulance service.

He was brought to safety by 10:02am and was left in the care of the ambulance teams.
