Firefighters' early Christmas Day call

By Neil Speight 25th Dec 2020

THERE was a sad Christmas Day morning for this van owner in Tilbury - and work for local on-duty firefighters to do.

The drama of the burning van was played out around 9.45 this morning on Dock Road in Tilbury.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Tilbury councillor John Allen was nearby and witnessed the blaze. He said: "Well done to our Fire and Rescue Service working on Christmas Day! They put this fire out quickly. God Bless each and everyone of our emergency and public services on call today."
