THE boss of a Tilbury scaffolding firm has shared the secret of getting his staff in on time - but ended up paying out to charity himself.

Liam Aslett is the owner and MD of Tilbury Scaffolding and he took to social media to share his scheme to put members of staff on the 'naughty step' if they arrive late and they have to pay a penalty to charity.

His post struck a chord and has already been viewed 250,000 times via the Linked In network.

Liam says: "Employees being late what do use do as a company dock them money?

"Tell them to go home ?

I'm intrigued to see what people do.

"Here at Tilbury scaffolding I introduced a naughty corner with any employee over 15 minutes late you have to donate to our charity. As you can see today it's my turn to be on the step!"

Liam has coughed up to his chosen charity, Little Heroes ASD Support Group which is a South Essex-based parent-led support group for families of children who are on the autistic spectrum.

Unfortunately Liam's staff have sorted their act out and no one's been late this week but He is hoping his action will help the charity group by drawing attention to its work.
