FLOOD waters in Stanford-le-Hope have receded this morning and tge forecast continued rain has not appeared yet.

This morning's early high tide does not appear to have caused any additional problems.

Now the answers will be sought to what caused yesterday's unprecedented flooding and Thurrock Council has also been asked if it will be reviewing planning permission for new homes in the borough's floodplains - including the marsh in Stanford that was completely under water yesterday.
