THURROCK Council's waste and recycling centre on Buckingham Hill Road near Stanford-le-Hope will close tomorrow (Friday, 165 January) for a fourth day running.

The site was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday because of staff shortages and this morning the council announced flooding on site meant it could not reopen.

With today's adverse weather the closure has been extended until tomorrow – and with a bad weather forecast the closure could run into the weekend.
