LOCAL residents have warned people in the West Tilbury area to beware of a flytip site on a dark rural road, which they captured on dash cam footage this evening (Sunday, 16 January) around 7pm.

The fly tipping took place from a tipper truck dump on Church Road, West Tilbury.

The occupants of a car which saw the incident taking place alerted the police and council, and also Nub news to warn people of the potential danger, saying: "We contacted the police, who took our details but weren't really interested. They told us to contact Thurrock Council emergency service but we don't think they will clear the road tonight.

"Let's hope no one drives into the rubbish. Hopefully our dash cam got the number plate."
