THURROCK Foster Carers were recently honoured at a celebration event for the inspirational work they do, making a difference, and helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the borough.

Mayor Cllr James Halden presented awards to residents who have been fostering young people in Thurrock for five, 10 and 15 years.

A statement from Thurrock Council's Fostering Service said: "Thank you to our amazing foster carers for providing safe homes and support to our most vulnerable children.

"Your dedication and commitment is an inspiration to us all."
