A GROUP of friends from Corringham have been on the run for the Barnado's children's charity.

Dressed in festive costumes they ran from the Bull pub in Corringham to Basildon Hospital and back, a distance of around 15k.

Today's (Saturday, 18 December) event was organised by Stuart Watkins who has also arranged an online fundraising page which can be found here.

The initial target of £200 has been smashed but Stuart and friends are hoping they will now hit the thousand pound mark.
