From a Queen to a rose. Youngster is thrilled with response from the Palace

By Neil Speight   29th Aug 2022

A CHAFFORD Hundred youngster has been thrilled to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace with a message from the Queen.

Five-year-old Anna-Rose Watt who attends Harris Primary Academy, wrote to the Queen to congratulate her on her Platinum Jubilee.

And she and mum Leah-Ann were surprised to get a response acknowledging the letter and expressing thanks for Anna-Rose's support.

Leah-Ann said: "It was Anna-Rose's idea to write to the queen and she drew her some pictures. She posted it off and, to be honest, I thought that was that.

"But it was so lovely and a really surprise to get a reply and card of thanks from the Palace. Anna-Rose is absolutely thrilled and can't wait to show her friends at school."
