THOUGH street parties and public open celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday, the momentous event will still be celebrated.

Across the borough the message has gone out to put up your flags and banners.

And in care and residential homes where residents are gathered together there will still be parties and singalongs.

Please let us know at Thurrock Nub News how you will be celebrating the day. And send us your pictures. You can do so via our Nubit Button, email the editor at [email protected] or via our Facebook page.
