PERFORMERS from the JTD arts group joined the cast of Thurrock's pantomime 'Beauty and The Beast' on stage this week.

Members of the 'Funky Feet' group at JTD (who were featured on Nub News earlier this year) and youngsters were part of the 'relaxed performance' at the Thameside Theatre and JTD director Vickki Jarmyn said: "Our group of adults and children got the most amazing opportunity to join the cast of panto on stage.

"They took to the stage to shine, when they had the audience cheering for joy. I am so  proud of each performer and thankful to the Thameside Theatre and Polka Dot Pantomimes for letting them show the audience how amazing they are.

"Everybody worked so hard and shone like real stars.

"Funky Feet has been established for over 12 years, JTD arts for over 18 years, our group is a performing arts company set up for adults and children with disabilities, and main stream children and adults, also those with mental health or additional needs.

"We strive ourselves on being inclusive and there is no barrier or limit to any person.

"We use performing arts to create a non judgemental community."
