FOUR children's charities will receive payouts from more than £10,000 raised by the Rotary Club of Grays Thurrock over Christmas.

Club members have been out and about on their sleigh and also organised a Christmas concert at the Thameside Theatre.

Club president Adrian Alsop says: "On behalf of Rotary Club of Grays Thurrock I would like to thank the people of Thurrock most sincerely for their support and generosity over the Christmas period. My grateful thanks also goes to Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco for their assistance.

"The club and its members have worked tirelessly to ensure this year's supermarket and sleigh collections (and our concert at Thameside Theatre) were successful armed with our new sleigh and following the 2020 Covid break so I am delighted to announce that we hope to donate more than £10,000 in February to our four main children's charities Great Ormond Street Hospital, Little Havens Hospice, Treetops School and Barnardo's.

"Anyone interested in finding out more about Rotary is welcome to contact us via our website www.graysthurrockrotary.org.uk

"Best wishes to all for a happy and healthy 2022."
