Gurkhas and riders will come together again at Purfleet on Sunday.

SUNDAY (21 April) will bring a celebration of the presence of Gurkhas in the Thurrock community.

The event, at Purfleet-on-Thames Heritage and Miliary Centre on Centurion Way will take place from 10am and will include a wreath-laying folowing the Last Post.

There will also be cannon-firing on the Thames riverbank.

Leaders and members of the strong Nepalese community in Thurrock will be attending and a warm welcome to all borough resdients is extended by Kishor Limbu, Gurha Day chief co-ordinator.

Borough mayopr Cllr Sue Little is expected to attend and there will also be a gathering of the local motorbike community, taking part in 'Ride-out to Purfleet 24'.
