Knife threat to staff member at station

OFFICERS from British Transport Police are investigating an incident yesterday when a staff member at Tilbury station was threatened with a knife.

A statement from the force says: "Officers were called to Tilbury Town railway station at around 7.10pm yesterday (18 April) following reports of a member of rail staff being assaulted and threatened with a knife.

"Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 690 of 18 April 2024."
