Happy babies and a better state of Mind

MUMS and dads will be helping make their babies feel better this weekend – and helping support the Mind mental health charity.

On Saturday (20 March) Essex-based company Basking Babies which has a number of bases in Thurrock including Orsett and Chafford Hundred, will host a free virtual charity marathon day with a timetable packed full of free, live online Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Baby Reflexology courses with all donations from the day going to MIND UK.

The charity massage-thon will take place live from the Basking Babies UK Facebook page which is freely accessible all day to everyone, no matter where they are based. The day starts at 10am with hourly sessions throughout the day, including a tummy massage to relieve trapped wind and colic, a session just for dads and finishing at 7pm with a bedtime massage session.

The sessions are free, but the Basking Babies team just ask that those that get involved make a donation to Mind on this Just Giving page. Mind is a charity committed to supporting people's mental health and wellbeing, and Basking Babies hope this special event can provide vital funds to aid their amazing work.

The event follows the success of a similar Virtual Charity Day hosted last year in which £825 was raised for the GOSH Never Far Away: Essex Appeal.

Basking Babies was established in 2012 by Carla Davison and has 13 dedicated franchises covering the whole of Essex bringing parents together and teaching them skills in baby massage, yoga and reflexology on a weekly basis.
