POLICE are seeking the public's help as they attempt to locate a missing 13-year-old girl, last seen in Tilbury.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We're working hard to find Jemimah Jones who's missing. We now know the 13-year-old, from Cardiff, boarded a Southend-bound train at platform 2 at Tilbury station at 10.24pm (Friday, 12 December).

"We're carrying out extensive CCTV checks at stations along the train line and we're liaising with a number of other police forces."

Jemimah is 5ft 2ins tall, has brown hair and has been described to us as wearing pyjama bottoms and a pink hooded top, which may be the same as that which she is wearing in the first image below.

Police add: "We don't believe she is wearing shoes.

"If you've seen Jemimah, please call us on 101 as soon as possible."
