Heritage centre volunteers recognised with award

MEMBERS of the volunteer team at Purfleet's Heritage and Military centre were on hand today to receive a presentation recognising their work.

At the recent Thurrock CVS annual awards the centre team were nominated for - and won - the Heritage Volunteers category.

Today (Wednesday, 12 June) Joanne Potter from the CVS presented the award to Paul Hounsell, Dave Belcher and Ollie Mills on behalf of all the volunteers at the centre on Centurian Way, Pirfleet-on-Thames.
