Air ambulance called to bring medics to scene of Tilbury bike crash. Rider was seriously injured

A MOTORBIKE rider suffered severe injuries after crashing his machine in Tilbury yesterday (Sunday, 2 April).

Police officers, an ambulance and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Fielding Avenue following reports of an injured motorcyclist after a crash.

The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed: "One man was transported by road ambulance to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital with a serious lower limb injury."

Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a single vehicle collision in Fielding Avenue, Tilbury at 3.05pm on Sunday, 2 April.

"It involved a mini motorbike and the rider sustained an injury to his leg.
