Inquest into death of Mick Norcross is opened and adjourned until the summer

AN inquest into the death of Thurrock businessman and TV celebrity Mick Norcross was opened and adjourned today (Wednesday, 3 February).
Mr Norcross, who found national fame by appearing for several series in the TV reality show 'The Only Way Is Essex' (TOWIE) was found dead at his home in Bulphan at on Thursday, 21 January and today Chelmsford Coroner's Court heard the 57-year-old was found hanged in the basement of his home on Brentwood Road.
The BBC has reported coroner's officer Sarah Lee said: "Paramedics attended and sadly pronounced him dead. Police attended, all protocols were followed, and his death was confirmed as non-suspicious."
She said a post-mortem examination, carried out at Basildon Hospital on 26 January, gave his provisional medical cause of death as suspension by ligature.
On the day of his death Mr Norcross, whose business life has since been reported to have been blighted by significant debts, posted a Tweet to his 505,000 followers, saying: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that's good enough."
The inquest was adjourned until 22 July.
