TOMORROW (Friday, 9 September) will see the reopening of a playgroup in Horndon on the Hill.

Monkeys Playgroup is based in the Village Hall and unlike many similar organisations, it's a 'pay as you play' centre, so parents don't have to commit to long term deals.

Play time includes toys, snack and singing, plus hot drinks and food for the grown ups to purchase (cash only) and the cost is £4 per child and £2 for siblings.

Playgroup owner Nicola is a local farmer's wife with two children. She says: "I am a qualified nursery nurse and have a degree in playwork so qualified to work with children upto age 18.

"Both of my children went to Monkeys and I didn't want it to close. So I'm starting a new adventure for anyone with little cherubs, who can hopefully making new friends along the way as well as having lots of fun."

Sessions last for an hour and half, and start tomorrow at 10am. at the playgroup which is under new management.
