GET ready to immerse yourselves in the spirit of the season at the annual Parish Christmas Bazaar hosted by St Thomas of Canterbury Church.

On Sunday, 26 November, the halls of St Thomas of Canterbury Church on East Thurrock Road in Grays will come alive with festive cheer from noon to 3pm.

The church's Patricia Mulenga told Thurrock Nub News: "This event is not just a gathering; it's a heart-warming blend of social bonding, family fun, and a vital fundraising initiative for the Church."

Father Stephen Myers, Parish Priest, also invites the community to join this event saying: "Our Christmas Bazaar is a time-honoured tradition that brings our community together in celebration.

"It's an opportunity for us to share the joy of the season and support our beloved church. We welcome everyone to indulge in the festivities and create cherished memories with family and friends."

The bazaar promises an array of experiences for attendees. The St Thomas Hall which is accessible via St John Street will be brimming with delightful treats and refreshments.

Food enthusiasts can embark on a culinary journey, relishing offerings such as mouth-watering mince pies, hearty beef stews, tantalising Jollof rice, and the popular Ghanaian delicacy Waakye (rice with black beans).

The event boasts a variety of food and drink options, ensuring there's something for every palate.

Additionally, there will be activities for the entire family, including captivating raffle prizes and entertainment that will keep everyone engaged.

There is the chance to participate in the grand draw, where three lucky winners will take home cash prizes of £250, £100, and £50.

Father Christmas will grace the event with his presence and children will have the delightful opportunity for selfies, creating unforgettable memories.

Patricia concluded: "So, mark your calendars and join us for an afternoon of joy, laughter, and togetherness at St Thomas of Canterbury Church Christmas Bazaar.

"Your presence and support make a significant difference, ensuring the continuity of our cherished traditions and the warmth of community spirit. Let's celebrate the season of giving and unity together!"
