Knife recovered from toilet after train fight at Tilbury

A KNIFE was recovered by police officers investigating a fight on a c2c train in the borough.

On Tuesday, 23 august at 4.18pm, British Transport Police officers were alerted to the fight which was happening on a train approaching Tilbury.

The train was delayed at the station for a significant time while police made their way to the station and began their investigations.

A statement from the police says: "We received a report of a fight on-board a train near Tilbury at 4.18pm on 23 August.

"Officers attended Tilbury Town station, however those involved had left the scene. The train was searched and a knife was located in one of the toilets.

 "Enquiries into this incident are ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time."
