Labour maintain their Riverside stronghold with another win for Martin Kerin

LABOUR'S traditional support stayed strong in the Grays Riverside ward where Cllr Martin Kerin was returned for another term on the back of a significant majority.

It will be his third stint in the chamber, having first been elected in 2014.

Result:

  • Martin Kerin (Labour) 1,208
  • Obi Obi-Njoku, (Conservative) 472

Majority 736.

Electorate: 8,075. Ballot Papers Issued: 1,703. Turnout: 21.09%.
