A STALWART of Tilbury's local community has recorded another musical tribute to the NHS.

Former Docker Les Morgan has made a number of social media posts while he has been in lockdown, including his rendition of the hymn 'How Great Thou Art' – which attracted many thousands of viewers when we featured it on Thurock Nub News.

Les has also come up with some funny skits on local life and the lockdown situation and has been widely acclaimed for keeping up spirits. On 30 March he told us why we should 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life'

His work for the town was recognised earlier this year in the Thurrock Civic Awards when Les was honoured by winning the Creative Excellence award.

Les also comperes and has a band that performs at community events.

His musical talents come to the fore in his latest video as he adapts "Hallelujah", the much covered and much-loved song written by Canadian singer Leonard Cohen.
