LITTERPICKERS are expecting to be busy this weekend as they take to the Thames riverbank at Grays for the latest Beachcombers clean up event.

Following on from last Saturday's massive rubbish haul at the Concrete Barges following Storm Dennis, the next event is at Grays Beach on Sunday morning (1 March).

Those taking part will be entitled to a free bacon roll and coffee at the Lightship cafe.organiser Steve Catchpole says: "As always old weather appropriate clothes, sturdy footwear and lots of enthusiasm are all you need to bring.

"Meeting at Thurrock Yacht Club at 10:30am we will supply "all the plastic rubbish you can pick" and any equipment that you will need!"
