Updated: Lorry crash on M25 causes tailbacks and congestion around Lakeside is building

TRAFFIC congestion is expected which may impact on local bus services, especially route 44, following an accident on the M25 on the anti-clockwise carriageway.
It happened just after 11am.
The incident is north of junction 30, just before the A127 turn–off, but with all lanes blocked in the initial stages of recovery, traffic is already backing up for some miles and has already impacted on junction 30 and surrounding roads including the A13.
After the accident was cleared there were further problems following a broken down vehicle. at Junction 30. It is expected the carriageway will be back to normal by around 2pm.
