FAST food fans in Tilbury - or visitors to the town's ASDA superstore - will have to travel for their treats for a couple of week starting from Monday.

The McDonalds restaurant adjacent to the store will close on Monday for a refurbishment. Its reopening is planned for Tuesday, 19 July.

The nearest alternative is on the westbound A13 between the Manorway and Orsett Cock roundabouts. Other McDonald are at Lakeside or close to the Five Bells roundabout at Pitsea.
