THERE will be significant late evening and overnight disruption at the Dartford crossing starting from Thursday (3 November) as National Highways carries out a winter maintenance programme.

Both the QEII bridge and the tunnels will be affected.

The east tunnel will be closed overnight at different times from tomorrow (Thursday 3rd) and the morning of Friday, 11 November. Tomorrow the closure will be in place from 8.30pm to 5.30am, and then on Friday (4 November) it will be closed from 9pm to 6am.

From Sunday (6 November) until Friday, 11 November, the east tunnel will be also closed overnight between 8.30pm and 5.30am. A diversion for vehicles less than 4.8m (15'-9") high will be in place via the adjacent west tunnel. For vehicles between 4.8m (15'-9") and 5.0m (16'-6") high, an alternative diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise.

The bridge will be also closed overnight between 10pm on Saturday and 5am on Sunday for routine inspections and maintenance. Southbound traffic will be diverted via the east tunnel, while northbound traffic will continue to use the west (left hand side) tunnel as normal.
