Man arrested following unexpected death is on bail while enquiries continue

POLICE have given an update on their investigation into the death of a woman in Stanford-le-Hope earlier this week.

Enquiries began after police were called to a home on Balmoral Avenue on Monday, 15 December where a body was discovered.

A man was arrested that evening and has been assisting police with their enquiries.

A statement from Essex police today (Friday, 19 December) said: "The arrested man has been released on bail until 23 December and our enquiries are ongoing."
