Man attacked by men from passing vehicle as he walked on Orsett Road. Police call for witnesses or information

AFTER a man was attacked and suffered minor injuries, police have appealed for witnesses to the assault.

It is not yet clear exactly where the attack too place other than it was on Orsett Road (leaving Horndon on the Hill) in the vicinity of Orsett itself.

The victim, a man in his 20s, believes he was the victim of a targeted attack while walking along Orsett Road at around noon on Tuesday, 26 January.

He was initially shouted at by two men in a white vehicle, believed to be a truck or a van.

The men then exited the vehicle and proceeded to assault him with weapons.

The men have been described as white and had tattoos. It is believed that one man was in his 20s, had a beard and brown hair. The second man was in his 30s with black hair.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Grays CID on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/13891/21. Information can also be given to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
