Man dies in hospital after crash on rural road near Stanford-le-Hope

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Stanford-le-Hope last night, which claimed the life of a driver.

Emergency services were called to Butts Lane shortly after 8.30pm last night (Monday, 5 December) following reports of a single vehicle crash. 

The driver of a White Ford Focus was taken to hospital where he died. His next of kin have been informed. 

The road was temporarily closed and re-opened shortly after midnight.
