Man in court following Aveley stolen prescription drugs find worth more than £1 million

A MAN is due in court again later this month charged in connection with an investigation into the theft of prescription medicines worth more than £1 million.

The investigation started after pharmaceutical medicines worth between £1m and £1.5m belonging to AAH Pharmaceuticals were discovered in containers at a site on Purfleet Road, Aveley on 23 June last year.

The medication was safely removed from the site and returned to the company.

Fifty-three year-old Ngumi Kikala, of Beaconsfield Road, Canning Town was arrested on 25 January this year.

He has now been charged with theft and appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court on 27 January.

He's next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on 24 February.
