Uber boats will return to Tilbury later this month.

LOCAL folk who like a trip on the Thames will be looking forward to the latest London trips announced by Uber Boat.

A number of previous runs of the company's Clipper vessels have proved successful and plans have been projected to make the voyage a regualar service. Both Tilbury and Grays have been linked with plans to create new terminals.

The latest trips along the estuary to the centre of London will take place at half term. The journeys from Gravesend and Tilbury will take place on Thursday, 16 and Friday, 17 February. There will be one sailing a day from Tilbury, leaving at 10am and departing London Bridge City Pier at 4.30am.

The cost for an adult single is £17.20 and return is £22. Chren's tickets are £8.60 and £11.

An all day ticket, allowing passage on other London centre based boats, costs £28 and £14.

From Tilbury, the boat will take 40 minutes to reach Greenwich Peninsula (North Greenwich Pier), or 60 minutes to London Bridge (London Bridge City Pier). Along the way, you'll sail past many of the city's iconic sights including The Thames Barrier, The O2, The Old Royal Naval College Greenwich, Canary Wharf and under Tower Bridge.
