POLICE are investigating an assault and a brawl in Hampden Road, Grays, this afternoon (Friday, 28 February).

A statement from Esex Policsme says: "We were called shortly after 2.20pm today to reports of two men fighting.

"Emergency services attended and found a man with injuries to his shoulder.

"He has been taken to hospital for treatment and our investigations are ongoing.
