Man injured on Lakeside Christmas attraction

A MAN was injured while riding on an attraction at Lakeside shopping centre's Christmas Wonderland.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital for further assessment and treatment after the incident at on Saturday evening when paramedics were called.

The centre has launched an investigation into the incident with operators and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

A Lakeside spokesperson said: "The attraction is operated by a third party and we are working closely with their team to investigate the incident, as a matter of urgency,"

"The safety and wellbeing of our guests is our number one priority and in the meantime part of the Christmas Wonderland site has been closed."

The attraction is operated by a third party, the spokesperson added.

Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a response car from the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched to the shopping centre.
