Man jailed for threatening message and causing damage

A MAN from Thurrock has been jailed after sending a threatening message to a woman in a domestic row. He also destroyed clothes and items belong to her. In addition his sentence was extended for a driving offence.

Quincy Oluwatobi Okah, 28, of George Tilbury House, Chadwell St Mary, admitted the offences when he appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court.

He was jailed for three weeks for sending the message to Rachel Okah with intent to cause her distress and anxiety and four weeks for causing damage estimated at £5,500 to items including a camera, laptops, beauty equipment and clothing.

He was also given a 14 week sentence for driving while disqualified which was also in breach under a community service order. the offence was linked to his domestic situation.

The sentences will run concurrently.
