Man taken to hospital after vehicle left road

EMERGENCY services responded after a vehicle left the busy borough this afternoon (Friday, 11 September).

The incident happened on Brentwood Road between Chadwell St Mary and the Orsett Cock Roundabout shortly before 1pm.

The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene and the vehicle involved was safely recovered.

The road was re-opened shortly before 4pm.

No arrests have been made and the circumstances around the incident will be investigated.

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition related to a medical issue.
