MORE measured to prevent the spread of coronavirus have been implemented at Ortu Gable Hall school.

Head Ceri Evans has contacted parents to say: "As a precautionary measure, I have taken the decision to cancel all intervention sessions planned for this half term.

"As a school we currently have a number of staff exhibiting Covid type symptoms in addition to the positive cases identified.

"Delaying a decision until further test results come back will inevitably waste time and expose further staff and students to the risk of infection.

"Letters have been sent out to parents via in touch to those who are categorised as "contacts" in line with the government guidance. However, it is inevitable that not all contacts will be able to be identified.

"As a school we encourage all parents to closely follow government recommendations with regards to social distancing advice.

"Further information will be posted as and when it becomes available."
