AFTER a gap of nine years a Thurrock mum has written and had her second book published.

Wendy Jane Collins from Aveley wrote her first book, for children, called The Adventure Door nine years ago.

Now she has now written a mystery book for adults called The Face In The Shadows.

Wendy is well-known in the local community for her fundraising and helping charities and through her daughter Courtney-Lee, who was recently awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for her own community activities.

Wendy was quick to speak of her pride in her daughter, who has just turned 21, then and now the roles are reversed with Courtney-Lee saying: "I am very proud of her and I know I am biased by I loved the book. She really loves her writing."

Wendy's book can be ordered online, via this link.
