The purse, which contained bank cards and cash among other items, was found in Quebec Road, Tilbury and returned by the council crew.

It belonged to local mum Emma Deacon who said: "I would like to thank the bin men so much for finding my purse and knocking on my door to give it back to me. I really appreciate it."
