PLANS have been submitted to Thurrock Council's planning department to 'clean up' an established brownfield site in the countryside between Orsett and Horndon on the Hill and build two new homes

Applicants say redevelopment of the site will tidy up the area's appearance and add to the openness of the local green belt. The site is at the junction of Orsett Road and Saffron Gardens.

The council's highways department has already raised concerns about a plan submitted to the authority to build three new homes in Tilbury.

The planned site of the development is 62-64 Armada House on Sydney Road, and the Highways team has already given notice they would like more information, saying "there are a number of issues to be clarified". The issues relate to access and parking.
