A NEW business venture in Corringham is hoping to match traditional standards and build up a rapport with the local community.

That's the ambition of its founder, David Cotton, who is making the transition from Metropolitan Police officer to undertaker.

Mr Cotton, who has eight years of experience of working in the undertaking profession on a part time basis, has set up a new business, complete with Chapel of Rest, on Lampits Hill in Corringham.

Thurrock Nub News went along today (Saturday, 15 January) as David opened the doors of his new venture to the public of Corringham and East Thurrock. He speaks in our video about how and why he comes to be in the borough.

You can find out more about the business via its website.
