TICKETS are now on sale for Thurrock's annual pantomime at the Thameside Theatre, which could be the last ever staged at the much-loved local theatre if Thurrock Council's plans to close it down happen in 2022.

The council has delayed publicity material for this year's pantomime, which is Cinderella produced by the Polka Dot Theatre company and which runs from Friday, 3 December with a first show at 2pm to Sunday, 9 January when the curtain will go up for the last show at 5pm.

The show has been sponsored by local building firm HW Wilson and, with little by way of publicity to date from the council, Thurrock Nub News is delighted to help promote the pantomime and encourage local people to get tickets for the show which features Thurrock's favourite Dame, Luke Coldham alongside Josh Handley as the Ugly Sisters. They will be joined by Katie Burton as Cinderella with the return of John Oakes as her best friend Buttons.

John features in the promotional video just produced to boost the show at the threatened Thameside Complex.

New this year are Prank Performances on Friday, 7 January and Saturday, 8 January, where things may not go quite as smoothly as usual. There will also be a signed performance on Sunday, 12 December at 1.30pm and a 'Relaxed Performance' on Thursday, 6 January at 6pm.
