EMERGENCY services responded quickly to an incident in South Ockendon last evening (Wednesday, 28 October) which resulted in a man requiring treatment at hospital for a back injury.

Essex Police said: "We were alerted to a collision involving two vehicles in Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon, at 5.50pm.

"One person was taken to hospital with injuries which required medical assessment.

"No arrests have been made.

"The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene and to clear the road."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "Three ambulances were sent to the scene. One patient, an adult man, was transported to The Royal London Hospital for further treatment."
