AN online meeting will be discussing opportunities for the development of the Grays Riverside area and residents are being invited to contribute their thoughts – particularly about community engagement activity.

On Thursday, 31 March, from 5.30 to 7pm a Zoom meeting will feature representatives of organisations asked to take part in the area's regeneration.

Taking a lead role will be Purfleet-based community arts company Kinetika who are asking residents who may have an interest in the area to get involved.

"We want to ensure we hear as many views as possible," says Kinetika which has strong links with community engagement activity across the borough.

Kinetika has been invited by AR Urbanism and Tonkin Liu on behalf of Thurrock Council and the Grays Town Board to lead on the community engagement activity of the Grays Riverside Regeneration Project.

Kinetika adds: "Through a presentation and discussion, we will explore the area to be redeveloped. Looking at the past use of the area, the present developments that have taken place, and the future vision of how these spaces could be used, Kinetika artists will lead you through a creative process connecting the ideas from the community with the planners, architects and designers who can make it happen.

"If you are interested to attend, please email [email protected] detailing the name(s) of people attending. Zoom details will be sent out on the day of the workshop."
