MEMBERS of Thurrock council's planning committee have a heavy agenda before them when they meet this evening - and a number of controversial decisions to consider.

There will be reports back after site visits to the proposed new homes development near St Clere's Hall, a planned bungalow development on Farm Road at Orsett Heath and a visit to the Waterworks site at High Road, Fobbing where 168 dwellings are proposed.

Among other items up for debate will be the new Springhouse Club site development in Corringham where four apartment blocks will replace the existing clubhouse and function rooms, the new ground for Tilbury FC which is being recommended for refusal and a bid to squeeze more homes onto the former Fords site in South Ockendon.

The meeting, which will be broadcast live via the council's You Tube service , starting at 6pm will also be covered by Thurrock Nub News and we will update you on all the decisions this evening.

The full agend for the meeting and links to all the relevant applications can be found here.
