THE Friends of Corringham Town Park are planning their first community fun day later this year.

It will take place in the park close to the town centre on Thursday, 16 April from 11am to 2pm.

The event will include a range of different activities and will also offer engagement with services offering support to the local community.

There will be fun to be had on inflatables, outdoor noughts and crosses to be played and there will be opportunities to engage in crafts - and win Easter eggs.

Among the local services represented will be Thurrock Council's Housing Department and their Resident Engagement Team.

Essex Police and Fire Services will have a presence, as will Thurrock Neighbourhood Watch.

All activities are free and refreshments will be available.
